Investor Protection Tips
Key reminders to help you invest safely and avoid fraud.
✓ Always Verify Registration
Before engaging any investment adviser or research analyst, verify their SEBI registration on www.sebi.gov.in. Zen Wealth's IA registration (INA000021100) and RA registration (INH000022710) can be independently verified.
✗ Never Pay Cash
Advisory fees must always be paid through banking channels — cheque, NEFT/RTGS/IMPS/UPI, or CeFCoM. Never pay cash to any investment adviser. Always obtain a signed receipt.
✓ Demand Risk Profiling
A SEBI registered IA must conduct risk profiling and suitability assessment before providing any investment advice. Never accept advice without a completed risk profile.
✗ Beware of Guaranteed Returns
No SEBI registered investment adviser can guarantee or promise returns. Any adviser offering assured, fixed, or guaranteed returns is violating SEBI regulations. Report such advisers to SEBI SCORES immediately.
✓ Get Everything in Writing
Insist on a formal investment advisory agreement that clearly states fees, services, scope, and termination terms. A signed MITC (Most Important Terms and Conditions) must be provided before advisory services commence.
✗ Never Share OTPs or Passwords
A legitimate investment adviser will never ask for your trading account, demat account, or bank account login credentials or OTPs. Never share these with anyone — including your adviser.
